La Belle Gang

Thoughtful movers across Quebec. The crew that plans is the crew that arrives, and the price is in writing before anything is loaded.

Moving is one of the few services where people hand strangers everything they own and hope for the best. Most of the anxiety is not about the boxes. It is about not knowing: not knowing the real price until the truck is loaded, not knowing who will actually show up, not knowing whether the company you booked will quietly hand your day to someone else.

La Belle Gang, “the beautiful gang”, was built to remove the not-knowing.

The promise

Four commitments sit at the top of every page, and the whole business is organised to keep them true:

  • Insured moves. If the building, residence or condo asks for a certificate of insurance, it is provided before moving day.
  • A written quote. Free, and explained line by line before you book. No surprises in the fine print.
  • The same crew. The gang that plans your move is the gang that arrives. No last-minute subcontractor.
  • Placed in the room. The bed, the chair and the dresser go where you point, and everything is checked before the crew leaves.

The tone follows from that. Tidy, friendly, unhurried. Pads on the fabric, plastic on the sofa, one piece of furniture at a time. The photos on the site come from real recent moves, with no set dressing.

Missions, not packages

Instead of a menu of packages, the site describes moves as missions, because a studio and a family house are not the same job:

  • Senior moving, without rushing, with a crew that explains each step.
  • Retirement residence moves, inside the building’s time window.
  • Downsizing, with help choosing what comes to a smaller home, without emptying the house for you.
  • Residential, apartment and condo moves, with elevator bookings, insurance certificates and parking prepared in advance.
  • Local moves across Greater Montreal and Quebec City.
  • Packing and unpacking, for the dishes, lamps and frames nobody wants to wrap.
  • Long-distance moves across Canada, door to door.

Moving for older adults

A large part of the offer is built for older adults. A move into a retirement residence or a smaller home is rarely just logistics. It is often the end of a family house.

So the service is designed around dignity. One family member confirms the details, but the person who is moving keeps the final say. The crew goes at their pace, explains each step, and helps decide what comes along without taking over. The site has a dedicated section, written as much for adult children organising a parent’s move as for the parent.

Honest prices before you call

Most movers publish no prices at all. You call, you wait, you get a number that changes on the day.

La Belle Gang publishes ranges. Not a single magic number, because there is no honest single number, but real ballparks by home size, by distance and between cities, before taxes and assuming easy access. A cost calculator lets you estimate your own move from the volume, the distance, the stairs, the elevator, the packing and storage. Every figure on the site comes from one pricing model, so the calculator, the price pages and the written quote always agree.

Moving across Canada

The long-distance offer covers moves from Quebec to cities across the country, each with its own bilingual route page: Montreal to Toronto, Halifax, Winnipeg, Calgary, Vancouver and more.

Each route price is built from a transparent round-trip model: kilometres driven, the truck’s fuel use at current diesel prices from Statistics Canada, realistic driving hours with mandatory rest, the crew’s days on the road and their nights away. Each page says plainly how many days after loading your furniture arrives.

The route pages also explain, with sources from Canada’s moving-industry association and consumer protection agencies, how moving brokers work and the traps to avoid: the low online quote that grows on delivery day, the truck you never see, the subcontractor nobody mentioned. Then they set out the alternative: a dedicated truck, the same crew from door to door, insurance included and the price in writing before loading.

A bilingual site built to be found

The site is French first, as Quebec is, with a full English twin under its own address. It runs to several hundred pages: twelve services across twelve cities and regions, the price pages, the Canada routes, a practical guide section and a blog about everything from the July 1st moving rush to Quebec’s welcome tax refund.

Under the hood it is an Astro site on Vercel. All content is driven by structured data, cities, services, routes, prices and FAQs, so a new city or route automatically appears in navigation, internal links, the sitemap and the French–English pairing. Quote requests are delivered by email through Resend. Analytics run on GA4 with Consent Mode, so nothing is measured until a visitor agrees. A test suite and an SEO checker run before every change goes live.

Where it stands

La Belle Gang is operating in Montreal, Laval, the North and South Shores and Quebec City, and takes long-distance moves across Canada. The site is live at labellegang.ca, in French and English. The quote is always free.
